Below I will post newly added features/changes that you can expect in the open alpha. I will update this list from day to day as I finish new features.
1. Cursor Hovering
Showing object details on multiple screens before (main client, stores, bank) was a waste of valuable real estate. A popup mini-screen will now appear with all the object details. Now information is there only for when you need it. The popup transparency can be set in options.
2. No more 'Train Skills'
Back in the day you used to get 2 'Train skills' everytime you leveled. In closed alpha I changed it to 1 Train Skill and 1 automatically went into strength. As of now I am removing Train Skills all-together. Your stats will now automatically increase accordingly, depending on class. This helps ensure character builds are proper, and they just were not needed anymore.
With this in mind, you will however get an extra increase in power whenever you upgrade your rank. Ranks are still in the game and actually reward new abilities each rank.
3. Classes
The two starting classes will be Warrior and Rogue. They will act fairly similar as I phase different classes into the game. Warriors main stat is strength while rogues is agility. Although your stats will automatically adjust automatically now, you would want to take gear with your primary stat if it is an option.
WARRIOR
- Able to wear heavy armor
- Able to equip shields
ROGUE
- Able to wear medium armor
- Able to dual wield
3. Equipment
You will find all the equipment in the game had to be redone (again). I have also added in more weapons and armor since we have two different classes now. You will find now that weapons have +DMG stats instead of main stats like strength and agility. This is because many weapons are used for both classes, as well combat calculations were changed with a new formula.
Make sure you check all equipment before buying anything. Make sure it can be wore by your class specifically, or gear that anyone can wear.
4. Player Abilities
Everytime you increase your rank (Levels 10* 20 30 40 and 50) you will get bonus stats (applied in background) and new abilities unlocked. Many will be passive at first but will lead into actives later in the game. Here are some examples of abilities by rank.
WARRIOR
Level 10
- Expertise with Shields (Passive)
- Improved Critical Strike (Passive)
Level 20
- Ability: 'Forceful Blow' (Passive at first, eventually active. Gives your attacks a chance to mini-stun for 1 second)
- Improved Regeneration
ROGUE
Level 10
- Expertise with Dual Wield (Passive)
- Improved Dodge (Passive)
Level 20
- Ability: 'Blink Slash' (Passive at first, eventually active. Gives your attacks a chance to teleport behind the target and critically hit)
- Improved Regeneration
