Jag hade en diskusson på YouTube, på en video som med namn "Don't Buy MW3." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2ReKnO1S4I Där en commentator vid namn Obviously Jesus, även känd som han som gör "Taking one for the team fortress" på Respawn. Tillbaks till diskussionen. Såhär gick den;

MittNamn If you had any idea what you're talking about, which you obviously have not, you would know that by agreeing to Origin's EULA, you agree to it scanning your entire pc for software and hardware use, installation and deinstallation. This information gets sent to the EA servers, making it essentially spyware that you agree to yourself. Read up on your facts before you start throwing accusations around. Looks like it's you who is the stupidest person in this comment section no...

Jag tyckte han verkade otroligt dum och av installera Origin och installerade det igen för att läsa EULA

Och då såg jag det här lite längre ner

Vad ska det här betyda? Och kan denna Game Launchern användas som spyware även fast jag vet att inte inte används som det nu?

HansNamn, you're still the stupid one. Yes, Origin does scan you computer, although its searching for what kind of hardware you're using and stuff to prevent eventually crashes. So if you refuse to buy games because of Origin you can stop buy games from Steam too, because they use the same tactic. Even windows use the same tactic. So yes, Origin is a spyware, as much spyware as steam, WoW and Windows. So its not. If you think that, just stop use computer, you don't know shit.

Heklep The scanning of your PC by Steam is optional, if you don't want it, it doesn't happen, it always happens with Origin. Don't even bring Windows into this, Windows is an operating system, not a game distributing platform. It's logical for Windows to keep track of these things, but not for a game distributing platform. Stop pretending you know so much about everything since you obviously don't.

That doesn't look optional to me.
It's perfectly normal for a game launcher to scan my hardware, but they don't have to scan my entire computer for software they don't have anything to do with.

HansNamn It sure is optional, have you ever tried to Origin in offline mode? They search for Java, Flash and other common products that are common nowadays on computers This is to better address compatibility issues and if one should arise, then EA's team know exactly what was happening. They can not see any more information than it is for the software you have on your computer. It's not like they can see your account information, or what you write to people or plug in your Skype chat...

HansNamn No, they scan your computer for as I already said, Java, Flash and other common necessary software you need to run both Origin and Steam properly. And actually when I checked the Options, I could not see any options that allows steam to scan or not scan your computer, please guide me there if there now is one. I'd like to see. And WHY would steam ONLY scan if you give it permission? That would be so fucking stupid, its on by default..

Once again, as you can't seem to get into your skull, they scan for everything.

HansNamn No, they do not scan for everything, as I said like three times now, they scan for necessary software that you need to run the program, and they scan after EA games that you don't have the permission to have. For example if you downloaded and cracked CSS you have to turn steam off, because they search your computer and see that you have a program that you do not own, on your computer. There is no reason for them to gather unnecessary data to keep on their servers and hard drives

många program tar sig friheten att hålla koll på vilken hårdvara/mjukvara etc man har i datorn, för att på så sätt kunna ta reda på vad som orsakade en eventuell krasch. Så om man vägrar köpa några spel pga origin så ska man också vägra allt som har med steam, wow etc att göra, tom windows kör med något liknande system så vitt jag vet

så nej, origin är inget spyware och om man nu tror det så kan man lika bra slänga bort datorn....

Steam gör samma sak, samma med Turbo Engine, Asus egna uppdateringsprogram, JAVA, FLASH och diverse andra produkter som i dagens läge är vardagligt använda på folks datorer.

Detta är för att lättare kunna avhjälpa kompabilitetsproblem och om ett skulle uppstå, så kan EA's team få reda på exakt vad det var som hände. De kan inte se någon mer information än vad det är för program du har på datorn. Det är inte som om de kan se dina kontouppgifter eller vad du skriver till folk eller plugga in sig i din Skype-chatt...

Har nån av er ens läst hela?
Dom kollar inte bara hårdvara dom kollar program och allt sådant.
Sen så får dom sälja/ge bort den informationen om dom så önskar.

Mestedelen av andra program kollar bara vad du har för hårdvara och vilka program som kanske kan strula med deras.
Mestedelen scannar inte allt och har inte rätten att sälja det vidare.

Jag menar ge ut sitt namn på internet. Liksom att bara ge ut namnet på ett spel känns inte ok för mig direkt. Så kanske nån liten snorunge sittar och postar info om mig. Privat liv osv tack vare facebook.

Du kanske inte har problem med att folk vet massa skit om dig men det har jag. Kan lätt leda till missbruk och avlyssning.


Gillar helt enkelt inte tanken att det finns random företag som har en profil på mig och vet vad jag gillar osv.
T.ex. Google/facebook. Kanske inte "farligt" direkt men ändå.
